About ConnectorAtlas

Technical discovery before the part number.

ConnectorAtlas is being built to help engineers, FAEs and technical sales move from application constraints to connector technologies and product families — then to official sourcing.

The problem

Connector selection often starts before a manufacturer part number exists. The user may know available space, contact count, pitch, electrical limits, environment and application but not the family that best fits the design.

The approach

ConnectorAtlas structures those requirements, compares only evidence-backed technical claims, and keeps sourcing intelligence as a separate territory-aware layer.

Current beta scope

The live technical beta is intentionally focused on Micro-D so search logic, evidence rules and feedback loops can be validated before broader connector-category expansion. The next planned technical dataset is Circular / MIL-DTL-38999. It will stay clearly labeled as planned until the underlying series, shell, insert-arrangement and configuration evidence has passed the same publication gates.

Editorial background

The project is independently built and editorially reviewed by an electronic-components sales professional with around 10 years of B2B industry experience, including 8 years in distribution and direct experience with EMS, OEM and aerospace & defence customers.

Commercial independence

Commercial relationships cannot change organic inclusion, verification status, ordering or editorial classification. Any future sponsored placement will be visually separated from the verified database.

Corrections and manufacturer confirmation

Corrections are reviewed against the evidence record. Manufacturer confirmation can trigger review, promotion or retirement of a claim according to the publication policy.
